This is sweet, melancholy story about surviving grief. Henry lost his brother and sister-in-law in a car accident and he gained custody of his niece, Brenna. It's coming up on a year since the accident and Brenna has gone through a series of nannies. In the door walks Michael, a university student working on his master's thesis who has the experience and needs the money. It's a tentative arrangement but it flourishes as Michael and Brenna bond and Henry fights his attraction for the younger man. This is a quiet story and sad in a lot of ways as the family is working through their loss. Michael is the catalyst but it's not in any big flashy way that he pulls them out of their grief. If you're looking for a sweet comfort read this would be a good one. This is a no sex story and it's very short but it has a lovely HEA romance.
