Wow. This was amazing, simply amazing. I just fell right into the world-building here. I've read a steampunk short story by Meljean months ago and enjoyed it so thought I jump in and give this full length novel a try, so very glad I did. Brook is a fantastic writer and I couldn't put this down. The romance between David and Annika is so rich and delicious. I was rooting for them so hard to find love and they did in such a wonderful way that had me sighing and smiling. The chemistry between them was smoking hot as well but there was an underlying innocence and clumsiness that was incredibly charming. Steampunk rocks! Love, love, love it!The descriptions, the world, the storyline, it was all so well done. I've not read any of the other Iron Seas books and there are concepts here that I think I would have understood better having read the other two books but I never felt lost at all. I'll be reading the first two in this series because I LOVED this one and I want more of this world. So recommended!
