3.5I really love the werewolf politics here. Sadly though the romance takes a bit of a back burner as the intrigue is ramped up. I was glad to see more of Simon and Paul from the first book and while I enjoyed the development of Zach and Aaron they didn't really hold my attention as much. I think mostly because Zach was a bit of mystery and seemed more conveniently gay all of the sudden. There was no indication that he was so a hint from the first book would have worked better for me. Still I did like the men together once they got together. A bit of D/s here but nothing overt and while I did eventually like the pairing I wasn't really satisfied with the ending which was more HFN. I love this werewolf world though and I can't wait for more of it.
