3.5This would have be a fantastic longer book. The story is a great one. The deputy sheriff of a small Alaskan town has to transport a fugitive to Miami. The fugitive turns out to be his lover. Quite a roller coaster and I loved the concept. While it was a lovely little snapshot of their lives, Noah, the fugitive, was a bit more of mystery than Ford was to me. There was some great chemistry between them but things were definitely rushed because of the novella size. Still there was some lovely angst here and a pretty tight ending that wrapped things up. Although, I'm not sure what will happen regarding Noah's criminal history.
